I’m Julien Macanjo and I’m a French wildlife photographer.
Growing up in the Eure-et-Loire region, I’ve always loved nature and animals. Being out in the wild, mountain biking or hiking, is where I feel most comfortable. I picked up my first camera, a Canon DSLR, when I was living in Australia. I’ve been hooked ever since.
My goal is always to capture, honestly and directly, the mood of the moment and the personality in the eyes of my subject. Why? Because I want to share the extraordinary beauty of wildlife, expressed in the feline grace of a big cat or the dispassionate stare of a crocodile.
I believe that the best way to get people to care about nature is to be exposed to it and to establish a connection with it. My hope is that, through my work, people will learn more about wildlife and the importance of conservation.
I’m always keen to collaborate or to get your feedback – you can contact me using the Contact Me form or at  jmac.photography@outlook.com
